Correct spelling is a strong base for written communication. It plays a very important role in improving your overall language skills. Poor spellings can mar your reputation and interfere with success. It is essential to polish this skill at a young age. Nevertheless, if you haven't yet worked on this aspect, it is not too late. You can still learn how to spell. This portal has some free lessons and ideas that can help you improve spellings. There are fun ways of teaching and learning through an online spelling tutorial. A teacher with more than 20 years of experience developed the concept of learning spelling the easy way. This spelling tutorial teaches students as well as parents. It is an enjoyable program of learning.

Here Are Some Of The Lessons To Learn Spelling.

Lessons

Step 1:

Start from the known: This is the first step in learning. In order to encourage participation from your child, it is important to begin the first lesson with something that she already knows. This will interest her to be game for learning. It is like re-instating the positive. Give your child some simple spelling tests which you think she will be able to answer well. This should set the ball rolling and create more interest.

Step 2:

Use hobbies as a tool: When you teach your child how to spell, you can use their hobby as a tool during spelling exercises. For instance, you could use words that are related to the hobby and structure it for teaching your child. If your child likes football, painting, swimming, etc., then use words related to those hobbies to create interest.

Step 3:

Standard tests: The spelling tutorial should include standard tests published by education authorities around the world. A standard test is based on age and it is an effective way to learn spelling.

Step 4:

Home decoration: By decorating your home with colorful spellings, you can go a step beyond in the teaching process. Put up tough spellings on walls, bathroom, wardrobe, and so on. This will teach your child how to spell correctly. Moreover, change the decoration after few days and put up new spellings when they have learned the existing ones.

Step 5:

Charts and rewards: It is important to use rewards in the right spirit. Do not use rewards that are like bribes. For instance, rewarding the child with candy, sweets, toys, etc. is not a good idea. Instead, be a little creative. Show them their progress in the form of a chart. Put up a chart and track their progress everyday. This will develop their interest and boost their level of enthusiasm.

Apart from this, there are few other steps like setting rules, mnemonics, and games. This online spelling tutorial will show you how to use mnemonics and games while teaching spellings to your child. This portal will also teach you how to use the vocal capacity for improving spellings. You can use the vocalizing technique and even singing to get your child to learn new words. Word families also teach how to spell. There are a whole lot of options and concepts for improving spellings. Give this spelling tutorial a shot and see how it works.
