In this globalised world, it is essential to be fluent in English, the global medium of communication. Being proficient in English will open doors for your education, career and social life. It is not enough that you just string together two words to be an expert in English speaking. You should also know how to frame grammatically correct English sentences. The study of grammar is one of the most tedious aspects of any language. Many candidates give up as they feel English grammar is boring. However, if you are aiming to be well-versed in English speaking, you need to know the special rules of grammar for English speaking

The special rules:

1. Subject

The subject is the main content in any sentence. It usually refers to 'who' or 'what' in a sentence. For people to understand the meaning of a sentence said by you, a subject should be present in a sentence. Unlike other languages, it is compulsory to include the subject.

For example:

'My sister is very smart'.
'The building is very big'.
'Why are you waiting in line?'

2. Predicate

A subject is soon followed by a predicate. The predicate gives additional information about what the subject in the sentence is up to. It also contains the verb part of a sentence.

For example:

'My sister is very smart'.
'The building is very big'.
'Why are you waiting in line?'

3. Verbs

Verbs showcase the action in a sentence. They can be as simple as 'is', 'am' etc to complex as 'running', 'swimming' etc.

For example:

'I need to wash my legs'.
'Shaun taught Jack'.
'Throw the handball far'.
'Jenna taught me to dance'.
'I wish to learn Norwegian'.

4. Articles

A, an and the are known are articles in the English language. A and an are indefinite articles and their usage depends on the vowels. For words whose sounds start from a, e, i, o, u, an will come in front where as for others a will be used. On the other hand, The is a definite article and is used when the subject and nouns are specific. There are many online English speaking courses which allow you to practice the articles.

For example:

1. I heard a tsunami is coming.
2. I am sitting in front of the computer.
3. A dog is barking outside.
4. A boy is running away.
5. An eagle is soaring in the sky.
6. An elephant is very strong.
7. Harry Potter books are an awesome series.

The above rules help you to get a grasp on the intricacies of fluent English speaking. Practice them with the help of online spoken English course. Practicing English online is convenient and easy.
