In case of English and Japanese, the difference can be found in words refer to people. It may show the difference of the language origin. It is the cultural background.

After leaving school at 16, with no expectation that I would ever go to university, I worked for 12 years in industry. I returned to education and enrolled at a university after becoming unemployed during the economic downturn of the early 1990s.
