Rapid English For Korean Speakers

by Jim Oneil

Oct 9, 2009 Career Development 3180 Views

In many Asian countries where English is used as an official language for business and teaching, Koreans are always found to be there, looking for legitimate language trainers of English as the second language.

Because South Korea or the official Republic of Korea is a democratic and capitalist republic it is indeed in need of the English language for commerce and other negotiations. Remember that South Korea is home to many internationally renowned brands such as Samsung, Kia, LG electronics and Hyundai. South Korea is also an official member of the G20 the top 20 economies in the world. Korea has the potential to be one of the topmost economies in the world which is led by Switzerland, and English being the universal language is the best language that they should learn to make sure of this. As more and more Koreans are now going abroad to study and learn other techniques they can use to improve their economy, the need for them to learn the English language also increases. That is why they go to highly English-literate countries like the Philippines to learn English gradually and contextually through several English language learning schools that are found in the whole country.

You would agree with me when I tell you that there are different means of learning the English language based on the culture of the learner. What works for a Japanese English learner may not be the same as the strategies of the Korean learners. Many factors contribute as reasons why it is difficult to stick to a linear means of learning the language.

For most English learners, the best way for them to learn is to immerse themselves in a community where English is the main language used. It may not have to be the United States. For Koreans it can be the Philippines, for example. The downside to it is that you would have to spend quite an amount to study in an English language school and you would be spending so much time while doing it.

You can opt to cut back on the travel expenses and immerse yourself in English literature and English Hollywood movies but if you don't know beginners' English it would really be a rocket science for you. Subtitles can help but the most you can get if a couple of words in English and you won't even understand what a verb is.

You can look for a Korean who knows English in your neighborhood but the worst could be that what he knows is English learned from a Japanese and that's totally different. So when you want to know the real thing, you better get yourself a Pimsleur language learning audio program. With this tool, you can learn gradually and you can even do so while jogging in the morning. Check out more about it in the Talking Bookstore.

For those who want the real thing, here are a list of English For Korean Speakers language learning audio courses: learn english for Korean Speakers When you happen to have a particular foreign language course in mind, try searching for it here: Foreign language learning courses
