Summary
Our kids are inherently curious to know about the natural world. All of us have heard hundreds of questions like 'Why does the moon change?', 'How big is the Sun?', 'What do the germs look like?' and so on, the kind of questions that only kids can ask. While it is sometimes difficult to explain these in a way a small kid can understand, it is very important to engage and encourage the kid's curiosity.

Kids are most receptive and eager to learn when they are curious about something.

It has been observed that, by the time kids finish their formal education, they seem to be far less curious about the world around them. Maybe it is due to the method of traditional educational system, or maybe, it is just a natural part of growing up, we can't say. Today, our kids live in a vastly different technology driven world. The kind of questions that kids ask may not have changed much since we were kids. But, the kind of answers our kids receive today can definitely be far better. When they ask, where the Earth came from, you can actually show a 10 minute video that illustrates how the solar system formed from a giant cloud of stellar dust. Or, when they wonder, what germs look like, you can show them science videos with microscopic details of live microorganisms at a very high resolution. Now, compare that to the verbal answers you got when you asked the same questions as a kid.

Kids understand and learn quickly when they can 'see' how things work and why they happen. Educational science videos are an excellent resource to help answer your child's questions by showing all the details visually, making it easier to understand. Compared to reading and hearing, learning by seeing is far more effective and helps kids to visualize the world around them correctly and intuitively. Watching educational videos on physical sciences, life sciences and earth science, makes the learning process interesting and enables kids to think scientifically. Even the most complex topics in biology, physics and chemistry can be made interesting and insightful with the help of science videos. Science experiment videos can show step by step progress with animations and detailed explanations, making the videos sometimes more effective than actual laboratory experience. Moreover, kids can watch these videos over and over again till they understand and learn the science concepts properly.
