The education quality offered and the universities reputation have attract many people to go abroad to advance their study. Some people are lucky enough to afford it by themselves but most must rely on scholarships as the funding sources.

 For some people, advancing the study abroad has been one of their biggest dreams. The education quality offered and the universities reputation have attract many people to go abroad to advance their study. Some people are lucky enough to afford it by themselves but most must rely on scholarships as the funding sources. Therefore, getting a scholarship to study abroad has never been easier and the number of applicants always getting rise each year.

To win a scholarship abroad there are several important things to be noticed. First, you must identify the university where you are going to destine. By doing this you will get accurate information about your destination as well as determine the possible source of funding. As we know, different universities rely on different source and scheme for their funding.

Second, you must display good information about yourself. This includes a strong academic record and activities in campus and social organization. Some scholarship require you to have working experiences as well and therefore you need to be aware of these qualification before deciding to apply for it.

Third, you must be able to demonstrate a certain level of English proficiency through TOEFL and IELTS certificate. Advanced study abroad usually involves international student. Therefore, it usually delivered in the universal language such as English. Most institutions need you to achieve score 550 on paper based TOEFL and 6.5 in IELTS while others require higher.

Fourth, make a good statement of purpose. In this part you need to arrange your study carefully including the subject that you are going to study and future career that you will pursue in the future upon the completion of your study.

Fifth, get recommendation letter from your academic supervisor. Most institution requires two letters of recommendation and recommendations from professors, albeit not always true, often considered as an advantage.

To achieve all those things above you should make earlier preparation. Once you are in the second year of your bachelor degree you need to realize the importance of advancing your study abroad especially if you intend to fund the study through scholarship. A good preparation usually ended up with good result. Therefore, making a good preparation is important to determine the success of winning the scholarships.
